Renne Public Law Group (RPLG) has renewed its sponsorship of Access Humboldt, a Public, Educational and Governmental (PEG) television station, for the second consecutive year.
Access Humboldt is contracted by Humboldt County and the cities of Arcata, Blue Lake, Eureka, Ferndale, Fortuna and Rio Dell to provide PEG programming. Located on the Eureka campus of the College of the Redwoods, the non-profit, community-based media organization manages five cable television channels and a low-power FM radio station on behalf of Humboldt County residents. Access Humboldt broadcasts content from special districts, joint powers authorities, and City council meetings, as well as a variety of general interest programming.
RPLG’s continued support of a PEG community media organization demonstrates the firm’s commitment to preserving and strengthening public services through government transparency, civic engagement and access to information.
“As a firm that strongly supports the mission of local government, RPLG is proud to support Access Humboldt as a vital resource for civic participation, informed communities and the free exchange of ideas,” said Founding Partner Art Hartinger.
RPLG also facilitates transparent communication in the public interest as a Bronze-level sponsor of the League of California Cities Redwood Empire Division, which includes 15 cities in Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Mendocino and Sonoma counties.
RPLG practices throughout California, advising and advocating for public agencies and nonprofits, providing forward-thinking, responsive and creative legal solutions.
