Renne Public Management Group (RPMG) is a division of the Renne Public Law Group based in San Francisco. The firm’s attorneys, public policy experts and management consultants provide services and solutions for the most pressing needs and challenges facing local governments, special districts and nonprofits.
Our firm is distinguished by our deep knowledge of – and commitment to – good governance practices, coupled with direct experience working with and for local governments. We help local governments of all sizes improve their effectiveness and achieve greater impact through a range of consulting services. Its team of consultants have completed organizational staffing and improvement projects in every type of local government service, including reviews of entire governments as well as selected studies of individual departments and functional activities.

California Public Policy Group Launches as a New Independent Business
Renne Public Law Group (RPLG) announces that Renne Public Policy Group will begin operating as a separate, stand-alone company, the California Public Policy Group (CPPG). This transition marks a significant milestone for both RPLG and CPPG.
RPLG to Present Two Sessions at 2024 CSDA Annual Conference
Renne Public Law Group (RPLG) will present two sessions at the 2024 California Special Districts Association (CSDA) Annual Conference in Indian Wells. This year’s CSDA Conference, Sept. 9 to 12, will provide an opportunity for attendees to gather and learn from informative, educational presentations on special district topics.
Louise Renne Shares Insight on Working With Kamala Harris
While serving as San Francisco's first female city attorney in the early 2000s, Renne Public Law Group (RPLG) Chair Louise Renne hired Vice President and Democratic Presidential Nominee Kamala Harris to lead the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office's Family and Children's Services Division and worked with her from August 2000 through December 2001. This summer, Louise has recounted her working relationship with Harris by providing insight to a number of national media outlets during the 2024 election season. She has spoken with CBS News, NBC News, The Washington Post and TIME magazine and appeared on the NPR radio show All Things Considered with Ari Shapiro. Later this fall, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, EenVandaag (a Dutch publication) and the BBC network will feature her comments.
