Nelson Fialho, executive director of Renne Public Management Group (RPMG), will be a featured speaker at the California Special Districts Association (CSDA) General Manager Leadership Summit in Olympic Valley on Monday, June 30.
Nelson’s session, titled “Facilitated Performance Evaluations: A Better Approach for Enhanced Communication,” will provide valuable insights for special district general managers and other board appointees. The presentation will cover best practices for facilitated performance evaluations, drawing on real-world examples of how these processes can improve communication, strengthen relationships with boards and support effective goal setting.
The CSDA General Manager Leadership Summit brings together general managers and emerging leaders from special districts across the state. The event offers tailored education focused on governance best practices, state law compliance, human resources, operations, pensions, budgeting, district policies and risk management, as well as interactive networking opportunities designed to foster connections and professional growth.
CSDA represents over 1,300 independent special districts, including water, park and recreation, fire, library, utility and community services districts. The organization provides training, advocacy, insurance programs, legal support and resources to promote good governance and enhance local service delivery.
“Like CSDA, RPMG strives to promote good governance and improve local services,” said Nelson. “We’re passionate about helping leaders build stronger relationships with their boards, and facilitated performance evaluations are a powerful tool in that effort. I’m honored to present at the General Manager Leadership Summit and look forward to connecting with colleagues who are dedicated to advancing public service across California.”
RPLG practices throughout California, advising and advocating for public agencies, nonprofit entities, individuals and private entities in need of effective, responsive and creative legal solutions.
