Renne Public Law Group (RPLG) Associate Mauricio Grande represented the firm at  Santa Clara University School of Law‘s first Public Interest Networking Event, on April 17. The event connected experienced attorneys with law students eager to pursue careers in public service.

For RPLG, attending the event was a natural extension of its long-standing commitment to nurturing the next generation of public interest lawyers. Through its Public Law Fellowship, the firm offers law students direct engagement with and instruction from leading California government experts. Additionally, RPLG’s Founding Partner Jon Holtzman has spent over 20 years mentoring recent college graduates interested in law, offering exposure to real legal work and public policy before they enter law school.

By participating in events like Santa Clara’s networking session, RPLG builds bridges between experienced attorneys and emerging talent, ensuring that the public law sector continues to grow and thrive.

“We are excited to be out in the community, supporting educational initiatives and mentoring aspiring public interest attorneys,” said Jon. “Connecting with students at events like this is key to cultivating the future of public law.”

RPLG practices throughout California, advising and advocating for public agencies, nonprofit entities, individuals and private entities in need of effective, responsive and creative legal solutions.
