Renne Public Law Group (RPLG) Partner and Head of Government Practice Amy Ackerman, Partner Andrew Shen and Associates Maribel Lopez, Taylor ‘Tae’ Evans and Zoe Tatarsky and Law Clerk Taylor Cole will attend the California Lawyers Association (CLA) Public Law 101 Conference, September 25–26.

CLA is a member-driven, mission-focused organization dedicated to the professional advancement of attorneys practicing in the state of California. Their two-day program will introduce early-career attorneys, law clerks and legal professionals to the fundamentals of public agency law with sessions that deliver practical guidance and real-world insights into the daily work of public lawyers.

Maribel’s panel, “Career in Public Agency Law” on September 25 will highlight the scope and challenges of public law practice while providing young attorneys with opportunities to connect and learn from seasoned professionals.

On September 26, Amy will participate in a panel titled, “Transparency is Action: Navigating the Brown Act, Bagley-Keene Act, and Public Records Act in California,” exploring how public agencies can balance legal requirements with practical strategies. Later that morning, Andrew will deliver a presentation called “Conflicts of Interest,” offering guidance on recognizing and managing potential conflicts to ensure compliance and preserve public trust.
