ABOUT
Marc Roberts brings 36 years of experience in local government, including a decade as City Manager of Livermore and 11 years as Community Development Director. He played a key role in transforming South Livermore Valley’s wine country and revitalizing downtown Livermore through innovative planning efforts, earning national recognition such as the National APA Award for Implementation and the National Mainstreet Award. His expertise in urban planning, development and strategic leadership continues to drive impactful solutions for communities.

As Livermore’s City Manager, Marc led a team of 470 employees and managed a $250 million City budget, including a $120 million General Fund. His financial acumen was instrumental in eliminating a $100 million OPEB deficit through strategic policy implementation. With a deep understanding of transformative land use projects, Marc is well-equipped to assist public agencies with complex development initiatives and organizational assessments.
Marc’s dedication to public service extends beyond his leadership roles.He is a lecturer in San Francisco State University’s MPA program and a faculty member of the California APA Leadership Academy, where he teaches critical leadership skills to mid-career managers. As an active member of the California Planning Roundtable, he remains committed to advancing sustainability and livability in communities across California.
